Thaitsuki Nihonto is one of the only forges that produce quality katanas while combining traditional forging methods with more modern production management. Each blade is still hand forged (not machine stamped) using quality Japanese steel. The saya is cut and shaved by machine, then the lacquer is sprayed on which is much faster and far safer, but they are still hand sanded and custom fitted to its blade by a Sayashi. The tsuba and fittings are all still created by using pre stamped tools, which allows for faster production, but they are individually hand finished and touched up, then polished by hand to maintain quality. The tsuba is forged using 100% brass, not soft iron that is commonly used in many production line swords. The fittings are made with quality Thai silver, not cheap copper. At a very close look some of the production style methods may be noticed in the details but overall the Thaitsuki katanas look great hanging on the wall and look even better when slicing through bamboo!

The Thaitsuki Musashi and Masayoshi both feature Japanese, high carbon steel forged blades, a genuine leather wrapped ito, real ray skin and 92.5% Thai silver fittings and full tang. The Musashi (KTN1) features a joined double circle tsuba and black matt finished saya. The Masayoshi (KTN2) features a bo-hi in blade, bamboo forest tsuba and black gloss finished saya.
The Thaitsuki Hoso Kumiage (KTN3) is forged using a high quality Japanese, high carbon steel. It features a Japanese silk wrapped ito, real genuine ray skin, 95% Thai silver detailed fittings with kurikata, bo-hi and signed full tang.  The blade of the Musashi Katana (KTN1) is specially handmade and forged in the Japanese Nihonto tradition. This forging method mixed with high quality, high carbon Japanese steel makes it one of the sharpest, strongest and flexible blades on the market. The tsuka (handle) is genuine same' (ray skin) and the Tsuka Ito (handle wrap) is black leather, also available in brown leather. The Menuki, Fuchi and Kashira (sword mounting/fittings) are all handmade with 92.5% silver. The oxidization process will create an antique look.
The Musashi Katana is forged using the Japanese Nihonto method and features a black matt finished saya and leather tsuka ito. The Musashi Japanese Katana can be completely disassembled for full maintenance. It is a fully functional Japanese katana, NOT a replica. The Musashi Katana is a great mid price ranged functional sword. The sword easily competes with the more expensive $1,000 katanas like Paul Chen's folded steel blades listed on this site, however the Musashi has a high carbon steel blade instead of the folded but it will go head to head with any of Paul Chen's swords whatever the circumstances.
