Keeping with tradition the Imperial Forge, like Thaitsuki Nihonto, hand makes their tsubas and habaki with 100% brass, not soft iron. They use only genuine ray skin and cotton to make their tightly wrapped tsuka ito. Only the tsuba, fuchi, and kashira are expertly made and finely crafted from black iron. Their katana and wakizashi are all full tanged and double pegged - they are truly impressive swords.

It takes time to hand forge blades of this quality and this is why our Imperial Forge Sword Collection is more difficult to acquire. It is best to order or reserve your blade as soon as possible as we do not always have full availability in stock.
